Sustaining the Jewish Trojan Family

Passover marks a season of renewal. The seder, Judaism's most-observed ritual, invokes symbols of spring and new growth that call us toward recommitting ourselves to memory, to the ongoing work of redemption, and to authoring the next chapter in our great communal story. This year has seen a renewal in the vibrancy of USC's Jewish community. As Hillel's new leadership, we've developed thriving partnerships with our community and most importantly our student leaders as we continue our pursuit of a world in which every student makes an enduring commitment to Jewish life.

Where normally we would be describing the vibrancy and fullness of our Passover celebrations on campus, we are writing at a highly unusual time. Hillel has adapted to USC’s transition to online instruction by reimagining our approach to relationship building, dedicating our resources to developing creative online platforms and engaging in the intensive work of maintaining our connections with thousands of students remotely.

In these uncertain times, while our students are away and for when they return to campus, Hillel must be stronger than ever.

USC Hillel is reaching more Jewish students than ever before with over 75 percent of our campus' 2,000+ Jewish students using Hillel as a resource. We ask that you support our Passover campaign, and in so doing you will ensure the renewal of the next generation of our community. Thank you so much for your generosity and meaningful commitment.

Chag Sameach,

Dave Cohn and the USC Hillel Board of Directors
