Freshman Engagement Fellowship Application (FEF)

Freshfest

Freshfest is a USC Hillel pre-orientation program for incoming Jewish students. As one of our biggest events of the year, Freshfest welcomes over 150 incoming students and introduces them into the Jewish Trojan family. We are looking for Freshmen Engagement Fellows to serve as campus ambassadors and facilitate the transition to college life.

Freshman Engagement Fellowship Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate an amazing Freshfest experience for Jewish first-years, transfers, and spring admits on August 19-20
  • Attend mandatory FreshFest meetings: April 4th (6-8pm), April 24th (6-8pm), August 18 (10-2pm)
  • Recruit for, attend and facilitate small groups at USC Hillel’s annual FreshFest retreat
  • Build relationships, through individual meetings, with members of your FreshFest group after FreshFest, connecting them to Jewish life on campus. FEF’s will have a budget of $50 to spend on engagement and group get togethers with their freshman cohort from FreshFest
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Hillel Staff and fellow FEFs for monthly learning, skills training, check in about one on one engagement and plan events as a group for Jewish freshmen.

In reward for satisfactory completion of these requirements, FEF’s will receive a stipend of $150.
