Daily Trojan Articles

The Daily Trojan has published many articles and letters to the editor about

Israel and the recent conflict in Gaza. Hillel is posting a sampling of articles here

from this semester.

Most of them present the pro-Israel side as they are written by Jewish

students and faculty. Overall, USC is a very safe and comfortable place for

Jewish students, staff and faculty. As would be expected, most of the Daily

Trojan pieces reflects the opinions an stories in the general press. Hillel is

proud to work with SC Students for Israel and Trojans for Israel in presenting

a side of the story that reflects the largest majority of American Jews and American opinion.

Israel makes the Daily Trojan for the first time

February 1, 2009: One student active in SC Students for Israel comments on

Professor Lloyd's actions.

February 2, 2009: SC Student for Israel and Hillel sent a joint communiqué

about the Gaza conflict.

February 3, 2009: In response to an anti-Israel protest, SC Students for

Israel, Trojans for Israel and Hillel organized almost 200 students to stand

in front of Hahn Plaza, singing songs of peace.
